Yael Stein was born in Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael completed her studies at NIDA. Yael has been fortunate to be able from an early age to have worked with Australia's premier storytellers and performers, as well as visionaries working in the television, film and theatre fields. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to high praise, was her home. New York City. Yael founded The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery supports innovative ideas in writing and also creative projects from it's Bushwick studio.
